BIOGRAPHY

RABBI GREG HERSHBERG

Rabbi Greg Hershberg was born in New York City, and raised in Orthodox Judaism. He graduated from Pace University, Magna Cum Laude in 1980 and worked in the financial sector. He later owned and operated an executive search firm in New York City. In 1989, he married, and while on his honeymoon in Israel had a miraculous visitation from the Lord. From that point on, his heart was set on serving God.

In 1992, he and his wife, Bernadette, moved to Ormond Beach, Florida from New York City, where they became involved in the Messianic Jewish Movement. There he was ordained through the International Alliance of Messianic Congregations and Synagogues (IAMCS), and became the leader of Beth Judah Messianic Congregation. After 10 years in Florida, the Lord moved Rabbi Greg and his family to Macon, Georgia to lead Congregation Beth Yeshua, a start-up fellowship.

In 2010, in fulfillment of a prophecy given to Rabbi Greg, the ministry became international; Congregation Beth Yeshua became Beth Yeshua International (BYI). What was a local storefront congregation became a thriving international ministry/training center in Macon, Georgia, with congregations and schools in India, Africa, Australia, Germany, and Israel. In addition to “brick and mortar” congregations, the services are streamed throughout the world. Many “cyber” congregations from the nations gather weekly to view the services. Messages from these services are archived on YouTube, and broadcast daily on Solace Radio to listeners in over 190 countries.

“Bottom line,” says Rabbi Greg, “I’m a nobody, telling everybody, about a somebody, who can change anybody. This is your destiny, your purpose, your reason for living. Once you know Who you belong to, then and only then will you know who you are.”

Rabbi Greg currently resides in Macon, Georgia with his wife, Bernadette, and their four children. You can learn more about him and the ministry in his book, From the Projects to the Palace.
